The Founders
Background: My parents were born, raised, and married in Ireland. They came to America on the Queen Mary and settled in Southern California where I was born and raised. I have always had an interest in public speaking so I majored in Speech in Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California. My other great interest is helping people with their emotional issues from a Christian point of view. This eventually lead me to open a private clinical psychology practice where my specialty was to integrate Biblical principles with principles of good mental health.
Education: After 3 years as a Speech major in Cal Poly, I earned a Bachelors from Baptist Bible College then pursued Masters course work at Dallas Theological Seminary until our kids came along. Then after our kids were old enough, I went back to school and earned a Masters and a Doctor of Psychology degree.
Calling: I was saved while at Cal Poly through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Then God called Noel and I to prepare for full-time ministry so we went to Bible college and seminary. God has led us through a unique set of experiences that have worked together to uniquely prepare us to help people with their personal time with God.
Background: I was raised in Southern California and developed interests in surfing, swimming, water polo, classical guitar, and radio control airplanes. When I entered college out of High School, I pursued engineering and computer science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California where I met Denise in a church off campus.
Education: I have a Bachelors from Baptist Bible College, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in original language exegesis and a Doctor of Education specializing in Internet-based training systems. I have taught Bible and Theology for Dallas Bible College. I have also worked in the software industry for 25 years, and was a Chief Architect for America Online. During that time I wrote JAVA Jump Start, published by Prentice Hall, and taught for UC Irvine Extension.
Calling: A small church, off campus at Cal Poly, had a campus outreach through which I came to Christ. God has lead Denise and I through an unusual sequence of experiences. But when we look back at them we see how He was perfectly equipping us to provide help to people as they struggle with their personal time with God. Denise and I have been married since 1972 and have 4 adult children.
